F.A.Q.

  • Q) If I don't see water spots on my ceiling could I still have a roofing leak?

    A) Yes. Often times your roofing insulation will absorb and hide smaller roofing leaks until it's to late!

  • Q) Will putting oil on an older wood roof help it to last longer?

    A) Only if you start the process early in the life of the roof, and maintain the process throughout the roofs life. Trying to infuse oil into old, dead, dry wood is a waste of money. You have to start early or forget about it.

  • Q) Can I walk on my tile roof to clean it?

    A) Yes, if you know how to walk on a tile roof. There is a right way and a wrong way to walk on a tile roof. If done correctly one should be able to walk on a tile roof without breaking the tile. (We do not recommend that you walk on your roof, as it is very dangerous!)

  • Q) When is the best time to put on a new roof?

    A) If your roof cannot be saved or maintained, and you feel that you need a new roof then do it now. The labor cost to do a roof has remained pretty stable over the last 18 months but the material cost continue to rise every 3 to 4 months. This has been the trend over the last 4 years. So if it absolutely needs to be done, then save money and do it now! (Keep in mind that some roofs can be saved and maintained for years of additional service. To find out if your roof is salvageable give us a call for a Free Inspection!)

  • Q) Can I put a composition roof on if I have a low slope roof?

    A) Yes if your roof pitch is greater than 2:12. That's a little over 9 degrees of slope. If you roof is under 9 degrees of slope than the National Roofers Association says No. There are other restrictions, so please call for more information. 831-809-3087.
